The new Inner Wheel year for our club was celebrated at the Tower Hotel on Saturday 30th July with much laughter and merriment. Our Partners and friends joined us along with Presidents from the local Rotary and Rotarac Clubs to see 2010 – 2011 President Cherie hand over to our new President Mary. It was a great friendship evening.

The Inner Wheel Club of Kalgoorlie Boulder chartered 18th November 1989. Two of the Charter members were travelling when the charter celebration was held so they were inducted via telephone ~ we wonder if any other members have been chartered this way.

Over the past 20 years our club has been actively involved at District Level having had two members serve as District Chairman, we have also had members go on to serve at National and International levels as well as attending National Conferences and International Conventions. We enjoy this level of involvement and being part of Inner Wheel internationally.

Our club meets over dinner at the Tower Hotel on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

We are very proud of our involvement in the local community having over the years provided various equipment for the Oncology Ward at our local hospital, St Johns Ambulance, Silver Chain Nursing, Royal Flying Doctor Service, the local Asthma Branch, several Aged Nursing Homes to name a few.

Kalgoorlie Boulder is a gold mining town situated on the edge of the desert in Western Australia 497kms from our nearest Inner Wheel Club. These distances do not deter us from being actively involved and we enjoy being part of our great organisation.
